If I was panning for gold, I would be very happy, unfortunately I was not panning for gold.
This is never the view when you want to see when cutting open an oil filter!

I always cut them open, but never wanted to see anything.
With less than three weeks for the second race quickly approaching for WCHR Outlaw8.5 headsup racing it will be close!
Luckily we caught it before anything went horribly wrong. It might just need new bearings.
I really can’t complain as I built this engine over 6 years ago!
I honestly can’t guess how many passes are on these bearings, along with the thousands of street miles of abuse it has seen.
Hoping to have the engine out this weekend and we can assess the damage.
In the mean time, other things that I have done; I talked with PTC and we agreed that tightening the converter was needed, the ATI Superglide had developed a pretty gnarly shift flare on the 1-2 shift, so what better time to fix it.
I plan on swapping out the 3.89s in the Fab9 for the 3.25s that we ran last year, hoping this will help the 60ft issue some.
